Our faculty aims to foster highly talented and creative individuals who will leave our school with sensibility, a code of ethics, communications skills and a wide arsenal of knowledge appropriate to the demands of contemporary IT society. Moreover, we also aim to promote education and research to foster talented individuals and to equip them with the practical abilities and balanced international perspectives necessary to pursue a career in those professional fields (business administration, system, medical service) grounded on knowledge and the technology of information processing.

Our department aims to cultivate highly trained individuals who have a solid academic knowledge base and insight into the analysis, management, operation and drafting of plans in each field. IT has become important as a core technology in various fields, perhaps none more so than the ambit of human activities. Our department aims to produce highly skilled information system engineers with a sound knowledge of computer science and software engineering, who can play an active role in various applied fields.
One of the most important challenges that we must tackle in Japan's aging society is how to provide high quality and advanced medical and welfare services. When we consider this in conjunction with the reality of the declining birthrate, the implementation of IT offers an effective means to help in addressing this issue. Our department aims to foster highly advanced medical IT technicians with a wide range of knowledge concerning medical welfare who can become leaders in such fields, through a combination of hands on and practical training.
Modes of information expression have become diverse, segmented and highly specialized, largely as a result of the rapid advances occurring in IT society. We strive to foster talented individuals able to convey information in an easily accessible manner in such an environment, using an appropriate combination of static and moving images, graphics and sound.
We also aim to develop individuals who have acquired the necessary knowledge, skills and technology to systematically store graphic and/or sound based data in a computer, as well as having the ability to rapidly search and process such data, and share it over the Internet.
